Overview

Jen Schmidt - Team Manager/ Assistant Coach

Coach Jen is entering her 7th year with Glory Midwest. She has been coaching for 9 years. She has focused on strong team bonding, and fundamental training as her core plan. Her goals are to teach the players that being a strong, positive, dedicated, and confident player, will transition into life as well. Coach Jen is passionate about volunteering in the community, and teaching the girls that giving back is an important part of our organization.

The past seasons have shown how important team bonding is to an organization. The girls learn how to rely and trust each other, and that no one person can carry the team. Each girl has value, and plays an important role on the team. This season, they are  focusing on tightening up fundamentals, and increasing speed of the game.

Coach Jen grew up in Wilmot, Wi, and started on the Wilmot High School team all 4 years. Her team went to the State Champoinship twice while she was on the team. Her high school coach, Diana Kolovos, is a big reason why she is coaching today. The lessons she learned and support she received from Coach K, carried her through high school and beyond. Coach K continues to be a mentor and friend today.

Coach Jen has 2 children, Carter and Sophia, and has been married to her husband, Todd, for 21 years.  She went to Drake University, and majored in opera. She is a vet tech, and has 3 dogs at home.
