WI Glory National Teams:

Wi Glory Midwest Rendon/Schmidt (16U)

Tryout info for 2020/2021 season

We plan to continue playing high level ball, with A- USA and Open Class tournaments, with some exposure tournaments. We will be going to the exposure tournament in October in St Louis, and possibly the Strike Out Cancer Tournament in Va. Our schedule may changed to a local schedule depending on what happens with the Corona virus. We offer a free Sports Recruits profile for each player, with active training for contacting colleges of your choice. We are also a part of Athletes Go Live, which is a video profile for your players to be seen by college coaches at games, practices, or lessons if recorded.

Our main goal is to help our players achieve their goals both on and off the field. We guarantee that with effort on their own- along with the Glory organizations help- they will be working towards being exposed to college coaches throughout the country. We also want them to become good stewards of their communities and understand there are many opportunities to help others, making them better areas to live in.  Volunteer events are a large part of our plan to build strong, confident, intelligent women, who will make a positive impact in their future endeavors.

The plan is to continue to build a strong core that can remain together throughout their high school travel years , ensure they have opportunities in the future, as well as stay healthy and strong, is proving to benefit our organization and our players greatly.  We have a strong group of girls returning from our 2019/2020 season! This type of trust and team bonding is practically extinct in the travel softball world these days. We are very proud of the players, parents and coaches who have supported this way of thinking for the last 6 years! A confident, supported player is a dominant one, with no limitations!!

2019/2020

Based in  Southeast Wisconsin, our 1st year 16u roster consisted of all star caliber players from 7 counties and 2 states.  The members of the team share the goals of being the best softball players they can be, being the best teammate possible, and being positive role models for the communities they live in.
With focused coaches, the team is took a huge step forward in player development and on field performance in 2019-2020! We played some of the top competition in the midwest, competing in  A level/ Elite ASA/ USSSA tournaments, PGF tournaments and some exposure tournaments as well.  We brought in Austin Wasserman to train our players to be the strongest, and most fundamentally sound players at throwing, in Wisconsin. We offered a skilled hitting coach, and opportunities for catching clinics, and pitching clinics.

June 2019 - USA Class A State Tournament, 3rd place champions
Had a tough schedule at the Wisconsin USA State Tournament, and came up with a well fought 3rd place finish! Beat the 2nd place team once, but had to battle them a 2nd time and fell short! Really great weekend!

USSSA Silver Hawks Classic Qualifier Champions - 2nd spring tournament, 2nd Win!
Our Championship game went 10 innings, was our 2nd game in a row, tie breaker rules, 3+ hour game, AND we were the away team!! Not sure what the odds of us winning that were- but the girls NEVER GAVE UP!!! So proud of everyone- playing hard and doing it right by the girls!

7 Inning Slam Champions - Great Glory Teamwork!
Our core team, values, and work ethic, proved that you can do right by your kids- and succeed. A few of the girls knew a local softball player who was killed recently- but honestly, even those of us who didn't know her, were heartbroken over the news. Coach Frank wanted to pay tribute to her- so he, and his daughter, made all of the girls pink ribbons to wear- so we were playing for her and her family. A few of our girls were supposed to go to their final middle school Daddy/Daughter dance that night. But because of the weather, the 2 day tournament became a 1 day tournament- so the girls needed to make a decision. 2 of them decided to stay and finish out the day. We brought back a girl who left the team because high school was too much, and she felt she needed to give all her attention to her schooling. We brought back a 12u player, who played with Coach Beth when she coached her 10u team- and that 12u player ended up scoring the championship winning run by stealing home on a past ball in the 8th inning. We were still missing 4 of our starters to high school, a wedding and recent surgery- yet the team we compiled still came together to get it done. We went on to defeat Burlington in the 8th inning- because our girls never gave up!! Our pitcher ended up throwing 6 innings, then 7 innings back to back to get the 2 W's. ALL of them contributed to our success. People like to underestimate our team- and that's fine with me! We have been doing it right by caring, supporting, building up, giving confidence, giving tools and working hard for our kids to achieve whatever goals they want to.

February 2019 - St Bede Community meal/ pantry
Glory 14u Schmidt along with Carthage College Women's Softball team, served the community a meal, and helped them shop in the food pantry. The best part was talking with all of the patrons, and especially one War Veteran, who had plenty of stories to tell! If anyone needs support from this great event, they offer the community meal every 3rd Sunday in the church basement. - Read Full Article
